The Wrath Of Fate - Book 1

Write Review

This is a great book, a rollicking "boy's own adventure" tale of daring do and global stuff-ups. I literally couldn't put it down. Engaging and wildly imaginative, it fleshes out the story told over the course of Abney Park's albums. Coming across characters and situations I recognised from the songs was like running into old friends. "Wrath of Fate" made me laugh, gasp and even cry, and getting to the end made me want to immediately get book two. For those wondering about suitability for kids (which I was - this was actually bought for my daughter for her 14th birthday) - Young teens upwards should have no problem. There are a couple of mild instances of swearing, but nothing so bad as they would hear in the playground, and one almost f-bomb, which will probably raise a snigger because they'll know what was going to be said but wasn't. As to content, if you are happy for your kids to listen to Herr Drosselmeyer's Doll and Emperor's Wives then "Wrath of Fate" will pose no problems. Buy the book now, go on, add it to your cart. Your mind will love you for it.
